Ella Fitzgerald received 13 Grammy awards and sold 40 million albums in her robust career. From jazz clubs, to arenas, to television shows, to major motion pictures, Ella performed on every type of stage.

During her lifetime, Ella routinely made generous donations to child welfare charities, and in 1993 created The Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation, which addresses the needs of at-risk and disadvantaged members of our communities.
